SavStock is operated by Practical Economic Consulting LLC ("SavStock," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have.
It applies to savstock.com and the SavStock web application. By using SavStock, you agree to this policy.
The short version
We collect only what we need to run the product: your email so you can sign in, your business name, and the sales data you choose to upload so we can forecast it and build your order plan. We don't sell your data, we don't use it to advertise to you, and your data is isolated so other businesses can't see it.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, which we use for passwordless sign-in, and your business name.
- Business data you provide. The sales data you upload (such as dates, item names, quantities, revenue, and categories), along with recipes, ingredient and supplier details, on-hand counts, and order-schedule settings you enter in the app.
- Limited technical data. Basic information your browser sends when loading the site (such as your IP address and device type). We do not run advertising trackers or sell this information.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: generating demand forecasts, order plans, and ingredient purchase orders from your data.
- To sign you in, by emailing you a one-time magic link.
- To save your data so it's available the next time you sign in.
- To send you service-related messages about your account.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use your sales data for advertising.
How we store and protect your data
Your saved data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on cloud infrastructure located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is isolated to your own business through database-level security rules, so other SavStock customers cannot access your data.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Service providers we share data with
We share information only with the providers needed to operate SavStock, and only for that purpose:
- Supabase - database, storage, and authentication.
- Resend - delivery of sign-in and account emails.
- Content delivery networks (Google Fonts, cdnjs, jsdelivr) - serving fonts and scripts the site uses; these may receive your IP address as part of loading those resources.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell personal information to any third party.
Cookies and similar technologies
When you sign in, we store a session token in your browser so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and saved data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your saved data from within the app, or ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing us. We will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal obligations.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you and how we use it.
- Request access to, or a copy of, that information.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond as required by law.
Children
SavStock is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of SavStock after an update means you accept the revised policy.
